Well, maybe not exactly drugstore art but that's almost the name of one of our new stamp sets in the Occasions Mini Catalog, Apothecary Art. The style does remind me of all the beautiful stuff that I used to see at the drugstore as a child, when I went with my grandmother. Lovely lady kinda stuff. And ice cream. You could always saddle up to the big brown formica counter, sit on a spinny bar stool with red shiny leather and order an ice cream cone. If you got a shot that day, the ice cream was free. Ahh, the good ole' days.

Today is the first of February, actually, I just looked at the clock and 12:14 a.m. so technically it's February 2. I think this calls for some random observations from me to you.
This is just plain scary. Why would anyone give this to their child for Easter? Can you imagine their screams when they woke up and saw this by their bed? Therapy for life. Sock monkeys are creepy. Right up there with clowns.
Okay, the whole glass animal thing is retro in a kitchy way. But a snail? With protruding eyes?! and what's going on with it's lips? Is it blowing a kiss or leaking snot? uh, uh, nope. Send this back to China.
Finally, the cat should have run when he had a chance. He knows Noelle is going to dress him up any chance she gets. It's 7:00 in the morning. She's full of energy and mischief. What was he thinking?
