The last 4 months have been a blur. I just get so busy with family, school and holidays that something has to give. Since I'm not a good "journaler" it's usually my blog that gets neglected. That doesn't mean I haven't been stamping, sewing, quilting & crafting however! I just haven't sat down to write about it.
So this will be quick and sweet because I have some crafting to do!
Everyday, as soon as my eldest daughter gets in the car after school, she asks "what's or dinner?" I don't know about you but, this is like nails on a chalkboard to me. If I'm in a tired, stressed out mood, I have to force myself not to yell some sarcastic remark to her. Do any of you relate? I absolutly HATE that daily question. I don't know if its because the answer never receives a "YAY! I love that!" or "yummy mommy, I can't wait for dinner" or "wow! that's the best". Instead, it usually receives a deep sigh and a "is there anything else?" response. I'm tellin' ya, it makes me loca!
So while surfing Pinterest, I saw some great weekly menu designs for family meals and I thought, I totally need this. So I made one!
Using a simple, light colored Designer Series Paper as my background paper, I cut it down to 8" x 10" so it would feed through my printer. On my computer, I created a word document with the days of the week listed down the left side of the page. Once I had everything lined up, I printed it on DSP. For a little pizzaz, I embellished with the Elegant Butterfly punch #127526, Itty-bitty Shape Mini Flowers #118309 and a Labels Collection Framelit #125598 cut title. A little ribbon and a few rhinestones and it was ready to frame. With a dry erase marker, I write out the week's menu on the glass and display it in my kitchen. Katherine still asks me what's for dinner, but now I just say "check the menu".

So glad to see a post! What a great idea and would make grocery shopping easier too.
